Mmhmm… It’s true.  A girl can play Nascar and rock it!  I tried Nascar ‘09 this afternoon for PS3 and I must say, I’m pretty impressed…  Jumping into the game and taking control was simple and easy… Gas and steering were the only two things I needed to know (who needs a brake pedal?)

The first qualifier put me 32 out of 43 and the race gave me a 28th place finish.  Not bad for first time through!  That was on the Talledega race track… I mean, was there any other option??  The Talledega one seems easy and with time, I could place high on that track for sure.

The second qualifier found me on the Richmond track and I tried out Jeff Burton for this one (ok, so I had him for Talledega too!)  This track is a bit slippery in some way and I spun off the track for the first time in race.  However, I qualified 1st for this one – WOOHOO!

Funny thing was… I was racing and got a yellow flag warning and then a “Race Ending Under Caution” warning… Might have been when I was driving recklessly, hit a car and made it do somersaults through the air… Just a guess though! heehee

Apparently you can unlock tracks, cars, etc. so I’m anxious to see what that does over time.  I also don’t even know if there is an online version altho I am assuming there is since “Shoelover” (my PS3 network handle) popped up next to the racer’s names.

So… my win / fail for Nascar ‘09 so far is a WIN!!  Loving the speed…
