Enter Tap Tap Revenge 2.  While the name sounds slightly reminiscent of Dance Dance Revolution, it’s totally not!  This is like Guitar Hero on mini mode and you get more control cause you can use a two fingers instead of five.

Basically, once you download and install the app, you load it up and choose your level.  The cool thing is that you can play online versus other Tap Tap Revengers or you can play a single player game for yourself.  You can also post your high scores online and compare it to other people… Or, simply save your own high scores to challenge your skill level over and over again.

Another wicked point worth mentioning is that you can download new songs online.  I tried this app out while on an airplane to California so I haven’t downloaded any new songs yet but the two you get by default are catchy.  They have a good beat and I found myself ignoring the flight attendants when they brought by snacks (which I never do!) to keep my eyes on the iPhone.

Best thing of all… This app is free!

The makers of this app should be proud.  It seems that they are infusing indie music with a wicked app built from a super popular (and totally addicting!) console game.  Kudos to you for that!
